Joy Services Group employs a total of 36 people at Ferndown, Dorset on the South Coast. Established in 1999 the company has grown steadily and provides a range of heating and cooling services to domestic and commercial clients.
Managed by Dan Cross, their recycling & sustainability responsibility is taken seriously. Dan explained “In most tenders we are specifically asked about our Net Zero and Recycling processes. The Green Initiative accreditation provides the perfect response because it articulates and proves our green credentials and enables a clear understanding of our sustainable objectives”.
As with most businesses, Joy Services creates a lot of waste, mostly through packaging of the parts and components it fits. Dan believes that through accreditation to The Green Initiative, the message they give out, not only helps provide a comprehensive solution for tenders but also provides an important message to their supply chain that they expect cooperation moving forwards to be more responsible with their packaging.
Dan concluded “Recycling is no longer an optional part of waste. It’s a responsibility and shortly, Net Zero will be brought into legislation. The Green Initiative provides a cohesive link between our customers, suppliers, and our staff, to ensure we all understand and commit to that responsibility. Every client sees our accreditation and since we have been with The Green Initiative it is displayed on our vans, emails, and website. It’s a hugely positive impact”.
